Renato Corino

The Corino Renato farm was born in 2005 when, after 20 years learning from their father Giovanni, the two brothers Renato and Giuliano decided to create something of their own. Based in the municipality of La Morra, the winery is located at about 350 meters above sea level. The main vineyards are those of Rocche and Arborina; other plots in Nebbiolo are then found in Vezza d’Alba and Monticello, opposite Roero, while Barbera grows around the cellar. The company carries out a conventional agriculture system, even if the use of chemicals is reduced to the minimum necessary and the company is directed toward a more delicate approach in agronomic practices. Renato Corino is one of those small winemakers to whom goes the credit of contributing to making the municipality of La Morra famous for the production of Barolo. Attentive, humble, of few words and hardworking, after having produced excellent wines for years together with his brother, Renato is now joined by his two sons Stefano and Chiara; the first works in the vineyard and the second takes care of the administration. The three carry on the work with great dedication and commitment, now backed by a solid experience in the vineyard and in the cellar. The wines, modern in style and also designed for the foreign market, boast great character and great concentration. Renato Corino produces four types of Barolo: Barolo from the Municipality of La Morra, Barolo Arborina, Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata and Barolo Riserva, the latter obtained from a selection of vines over 50 years old, in the Rocche dell'Annunziata area. Other wines produced are Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo d’Alba and Barbera d’Alba Pozzo. With 8 hectares of vineyards, Renato Corino's company produces around 50,000 bottles a year, beloved not only in Italy, but also in Japan, France, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Australia.
